I am currently licensed in the states of Washington and Oregon and I have more then 10 years of experience helping individuals, families and couples. I am currently in private practice both in Portland and in Vancouver. I am accustomed to mediating disputes, motivational interviewing and Collaborative Couples therapy approaches. The larger the group the more fun it is for me; I love a challenge. It is my greatest honor to facilitate and bare witness to the individual process, reconnecting couples and families realizing lasting change.
Throughout my college education studying psychology, I worked as a crisis supervisor teaching intervention to new therapists. I received my masters degree in Family Therapy in 2004 at the University of Oregon. In Connecticut I studied and provided the evidence-based practice of Functional Family Therapy engaging the nobel intentions of at-risk youth. I assisted institutionalized, mentally ill adults re-integrate into the community. I have been working in the Vancouver area for the past four years as a home-based family therapist for Family Preservation Services diverting children from mental health hospitalizations.
I am experienced with crisis stabilization, however my current therapeutic focus is on prevention. I provide a respectful, nonjudgmental, confidential space to process interpersonal struggles, strategic approaches to relationship challenges, support grief & loss, overcome depression & anxiety issues, recover from past trauma and adjust to life’s transitions. Ask about accepted insurance. I can bill for out of network benefits. Sliding scale on a limited, case-by-case basis. I look forward to meeting with you.
