Personal Statement

Over the past 15 years I have worked as an intake coordinator, a counselor, a social worker, and a therapist. I have practiced in outpatient, residential, and home-based treatment settings.

I have focused on work with children, adolescents and families. Much of this work is centered on behavioral and emotional challenges experienced by children and adolescents, relational issues between child and parent, and parenting support and training.

I work with individuals, couples, and families, primarily in outpatient and home settings. I use a strengths-based perspective, emphasizing the skills and strengths the client already has, to help them manage their current challenges.

Lisa is the director of Family Focus Institute, a nonprofit program in Portland, Oregon, and is a Title 26 Guardian Ad Litem for Clark County, Washington.
